It was opened on March 11 1928, and since that moment, it has been home for more than 4,000 animals representing more than 500 species. There is no better place for children where they can enjoy the view of various exotic animals. Children are able to see eating penguins, hippopotamus, seals, sharks and rhinoceroses. This would be fantastic attraction!
Another attraction for young tourists is called Prehistoric Oceanarium 3D. The oceanarium is famous for not only its entertaining functions, but also educational. After visiting this place, your child will know what reptiles, mammals, and fishes used to live in the oceans from 350 million to 1.5 million years ago. Children can get to know where all these species lived, what they used to eat, and where archeologists found their remains. The most interesting fact is that each species has “own room” in the oceanarium. Each of them has own story which will be told in such specific room.
However, it is not the end of amusements prepared in this great place. In Warsaw, there is also another Zoo, but very original – the underwater Zoo 3D! In this fantastic place, everyone is able to understand how our world “works” because physical laws are presented in both interactive and straightforward forms”. As Copernicus Science Centre is really enormous building, you will need a lot time to see everything what is prepared there for visitors. If you enter it in early morning, you are likely to leave it by the evening, so be ready that you will spend there the whole day, and probably your child would like to come back again.
After a long day of visiting, everyone wishes to drink coffee. Because of this reason, we would also like to mention about original café with delicious coffee for children without caffeine. Żółta Żyrafa (eng. Golden Giraffe) is located on Wankowicza Street. This place was designed especially for children. There are a lot of toys and boards games, so kids can play, while their parents are resting and drinking coffee. Children can also take part in some activities like cookies decorating, or making own soaps.
